Fortunately, a number of alert members on DNForum determined the domains were stolen and notified DNForum management and also the buyer. The buyer canceled the paypal payment. Hopefully, he will receive a refund from Paypal shortly.
The domains were hijacked at the registrar Godaddy. Most likely the Godaddy accounts were compromised by the constant phishing attempts by fraudulent domain hijackers.
