This evening Trafficz notified domain owners that Yahoo does not want non-prime tld domains.

I’m sure this will push more domainers towards Google.  And, will make Yahoo/Bing less important with the domain community.

They are doing this to  reduce click fraud.   They imply the majority of the click fraud is from keywords in .info, .biz, .us and .co.

We speculate Parked.com and other Yahoo feeds will announce the information tomorrow.

Dear Valued TrafficZ Client,

In an effort to keep you up-to-date on all matters concerning your account, we would like to inform you that Yahoo!, our primary upstream provider, has recently imposed a revenue cap on certain TLDs. The affected TLDs include:

.biz
.co
.info
.tv
.us

The new, conservative revenue cap was rolled out early this morning and will be imposed on a per domain, per day basis. Specifically, if a particular domain in one of the above-referenced TLDs exceeds the revenue cap on any given day, Yahoo! listings will cease to be displayed on that domain for the following three days, at which point they will resume displaying as normal. This change was made across the board and will affect all Yahoo! partners.

TrafficZ strives to provide you with the best domain monetization services possible. We will continue to keep you abreast of any changes as they arise. If you have additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our Client Relations team at support@TrafficZ.com.

Sincerely,

The TrafficZ Team

A seller on DNForum attempted to sell WJM.net for $ 369. which is far below its wholesale value.   And, the same seller also sold JTM.com to the same professional domainer named Oliver Hoger in Portugal.

Fortunately, a number of alert members on DNForum determined the domains were stolen and notified DNForum management and also the buyer.   The buyer canceled the paypal payment.  Hopefully, he will receive a refund from Paypal shortly.

The domains were hijacked at the registrar Godaddy. Most likely the Godaddy accounts were compromised by the constant phishing attempts by fraudulent domain hijackers.

2 domains caught my attention today on DNForum.   Domains of this quality would sell for much more on the auction sites (Pool, Namejet, Sedo, Snapnames).  And, enduser value would be mid to high $ x,xxx.

MAL.net – DNForum   (Mal means bad in french)  $ 1,200.

HMB.net – DNForum (popular body building supplement) sold

Disclaimer – we do not own the domains nor were we asked to mention them.
